In light of the DC Health Department’s announcement today recommending gatherings of 1,000 or more people be postponed until March 31st, the Walter E. Washington Convention Center has decided to close this evening at the conclusion of our scheduled events. This impacts both the exhibit hall and conference sessions for Thursday, March 12th.
Exhibitor moveout will begin Wednesday evening and further communication regarding this process will be shared as we get more information.
We appreciate everyone’s understanding and the ongoing support of the Satellite community.

Comparable to a large laptop, the lightweight Satcube Ku provides the ease of an iPhone with deployment of seamless, rapid broadband connectivity, almost anywhere on earth. Designed for those in remote work locations needing high capacity communications on-the-go, Satcube Ku significantly outperforms BGAN devices and services in size, speed, ease-of-use and cost.
Satcube has launched the lightweight Satcube Ku satellite terminal on Intelsat’s new FlexMove high-speed managed service, providing broadband connectivity to Satcube users in nearly 190 countries. Satcube Ku is the first satellite terminal fully operational for Intelsat FlexMove Comms on the Pause (COTP) applications.
At only 8 kilos, Satcube’s compact terminal provides portable connectivity, featuring an intuitive user interface with assisted pointing function to enable satellite broadband access in 60 seconds in the most remote locations. The Satcube Ku is a perfect match for Intelsat FlexMove COTP (Comms-on-the-Pause) services designed for temporary use in fixed locations. Satcube Ku terminal is not vertical-specific,
complementing the entire Intelsat portfolio.
-”With the unique new Intelsat FlexMove partnership, Satcube users can now access broadband connectivity, quickly, almost anywhere on earth,” says Jakob Kallmer, CEO, Satcube. ”Open up the Satcube, point it to the correct Epic satellite and get broadband connectivity in under a minute. The sophisticated intelligence of FlexMove will automaticall identify which satellite is best suited at that place and time.”

Products and services showcased at SATELLITE: SatADSL will showcase its unique Cloud Service Delivery Platform (C-SDP) solution, which operates as a Platform as a Service (PaaS) by harnessing satellite technology to deliver services via the cloud. C-SDP is an OSS/BSS, carrier-grade, fully redundant platform that allows operators to outsource their satellite services from Asia to the Americas, connecting communities, organisations and businesses to vital services.
The platform allows teleport operators who connect their hubs to the C-SDP to dematerialize part of their infrastructure in the cloud, enabling a complete suite of tools for them to offer a range of services. The first-of-its-kind solution allows operators “produce” any type of service, including contention, FUP and FAP, volume, software and Virtual Network Operator (VNO), whatever the technology of the hub.
Requiring no upfront investment in physical infrastructure, the platform also allows for the streamlining of vital functions such as invoicing and the electronic payment of invoices at different levels of the value chain.
Additionally, SatADSL’s cloud solution makes it easier for teleports and hub operators to sell and buy packaged services to and from each other, considerably reducing the investment required and streamlining the task of providing services to their customers anywhere in the world.
Over the past year, SatADSL has expanded by forming new partnerships, entering new markets, and successfully opening a Point of Presence (PoP) in Singapore and Miami. The PoP – which replicates SatADSL’s European model – enables local operators to access SatADSL’s C-SDP, allowing them to reap the benefits of satellite services via the cloud without incurring any extra latency on top of that which is inherent to geostationary satellite connectivity. The PoP brings with it a range of possibilities including the ability to provide pre-paid voucher-based services and operate as a VNO.
Booth activities:
At SatADSL’s booth, attendees will have the chance to meet and talk with the following company representatives:
• Michel Dothey, Co-Founder and Chief Commercial Officer (CCO)
• Fulvio Sansone, Co-Founder and Chief Technology Officer (CTO)
• Caroline De Vos, Co-Founder and Chief Operations Officer (COO)
• Thierry Eltges, Co-Founder and Chief Executive Officer (CEO)
• Guillermo Bosch, Senior Sales
All representatives will be available at the SatADSL booth to discuss the C-SDP and what it can offer customers worldwide, as well as the company’s latest news including the broadening of its global footprint over the past year into Asia and the Americas.
They will be able to discuss recent developments for the company, such as the expansion of its PoP into Miami and Singapore. SatADSL will discuss its first plans to expand into the LATAM market, as it seeks to offer its services to an increasing number of customers and partners as part of its mission to achieve continent-to-continent connection.
Furthermore, booth attendees can hear about SatADSL’s plans to offer a 24/7 satellite service in 2020 and its work on a research and development project with the European Space Agency, European Defence Agency and the EU for the GovSatcom initiative. This involves focusing on the readiness of the company’s C-SDP offering, which includes adding security requirements for governmental, institutional, and defense users as it proposes its offering to the initiative.
SatADSL will host an event at its booth (342) on Wednesday 11th March at 4.00pm and invites teleport operators, satellite industry professionals and those interested in SatADSL’s product offerings and business developments to attend. SatADSL will talk about its worldwide PoP developments and its work towards offering continent-to-continent connectivity via satellite.

Welcome to the 39th annual SATELLITE Conference & Exhibition – the largest gathering of the global satellite and space community ever to take place under one roof!
The SATELLITE 2020 team and I thank those of you who traveled distances near and far to be here with us for an exciting, educational, and enjoyable week in Washington D.C.
We find ourselves in the midst of a tremendous leap forward in space technology. Batches of small satellites are being launched nearly every other day to build massive constellation systems. The iconic satellite dish array and other ground systems are shrinking to the size of a smartphone. There are now fleets of unique imagery and sensing systems that are changing the way we think about our planet. Satellites and rockets are now 3D printed and ready to go in a matter of days. And if that weren’t enough, humans are returning to the Moon and exploring worlds beyond on commercial rockets.
Change is what drives us as a community. This change has been fueled by new ideas from new people, who are supported by new investors, educators, and mentors. Because of this, our community is constantly growing and becoming more diverse and dynamic. SATELLITE 2020 will welcome more attendees representing more types of organizations than ever before. Businesses of every size, shape, and function now regularly attend SATELLITE to learn about how satellite technology can connect them to a rapidly changing world and allow them to lead that change.
SATELLITE 2020 also features the most comprehensive conference program we’ve ever assembled. Our Finance, Government & Military, SmallSatcom, Executive, and Tech & Engineering Tracks span the entire four days of SATELLITE, featuring presentations and appearances from the most influential leaders in our community. We hope you enjoy this week-long experience as much as we enjoyed putting it all together.
We thank all of you – our exhibitors, speakers, content partners, sponsors, and attendees for making all of this possible. If you need anything, look for our staff members wearing gold SATELLITE badges. Please don’t hesitate to ask questions, introduce yourselves, or just say ‘hello!’
We’re looking forward to seeing you!
Your grateful host,
Jeffrey Hill,
Chair, SATELLITE 2020
